Miu Nakamura: From Gravure Idol to Japanese AV Actress

 Miu Nakamura (born March 14, 1991) is a Japanese AV actress and former gravure idol. She is affiliated with T-Powers and hails from Iwate Prefecture.

She entered the entertainment industry in 2005 after applying to Style Agency's mobile site for an audition to find local idols. She initially started a blog because it was difficult to commute from Iwate to Tokyo. After that, she moved to Tokyo during summer vacation, worked as a photoshoot assistant, and then became a photoshoot model. Since then, she commutes from Iwate to Tokyo. After graduating from junior high school, she moved to Tokyo and lived there, but she often returns to her parents' home, so she spends about half her time in Tokyo and half in her parents' home.

In 2005, she made her first gravure appearance in the October issue of the magazine "Beppin-School," marking her official debut in the entertainment industry. For a while, she worked in candy magazines. She showed off many radical poses in risque swimsuits that were hard to believe she was in her teens, which became a hot topic and gained her support.

In 2006, she was selected as Miss Young Magazine at the Miss Magazine 2006 contest hosted by Kodansha. In 2008, her parents moved. The new home was "neither Iwate nor Aomori." After the move, she commuted from her parents' home, but after that, she returned to living alone in Tokyo.

On March 10, 2009, she became a director of her agency. The agency commented on the agency's blog (now closed) that the reason for her appointment was "to reward her many years of achievements" and "because we wanted her to use her outstanding producing skills to train younger generations." At the same time, she has a business partnership with the talent agency K-point.

In the weekly magazine "FRIDAY" released on August 20, 2009, she announced her retirement from gravure activities. She later announced the news on her blog. She says she would like to continue acting and appearing in events if she receives offers.

As of 2011, in addition to her acting career, she was also active in a wide range of fields, such as training juniors in the agency (producing gravure models, etc.), writing manga originals, and directing idol image DVDs. In October of the same year, she made a surprise return to gravure modeling (according to her, even during her temporary retirement, she often accompanied juniors to gravure photo shoots, so she didn't feel like she had a break). On January 1, 2018, she moved to MOODYZ as an exclusive AV actress.

At the DMM R18 Adult Awards 2018, "Fade In Nakamura Miu" won the Best Work Award (Mail Order and Streaming Division).

Ranked 5th in adult video sales by actress in the first half of 2020. Ranked 38th in the reader's poll for "FLASH 2020's Best 100 Most Active Sexy Actresses" announced in December 2020.
